integration of infrared light-regulating, pigmented polymer films. The proof-of-concept will be delivered within two and a half years as two types of heat management films which optimize the use of sunlight and solar heat in buildings. The thermochromic films for smart windows enables the use of solar heat for heating in winter. The heat blocking films for solar cells increases the power output and solar energy generation. Solar Magazine asked Nicole Meulendijks and Pascal Buskens about the status of the project and the expected results.
